Did you know that the egg is considered the gold standard for protein? An egg contains readily available, easily digestible high-quality protein. They are also reasonably inexpensive and can be eaten in a variety of ways to squelch boredom. You can eat them with or without the yolk. The yolk is loaded with nutrients including iron, potassium, and vitamin A. One egg is approximately 70 calories. Try adding some eggs into your eating plan as part of a nutritious breakfast to start your day off right, or throughout the day to steady your energy and satiety levels.
